Project Theodolit is a reconstruction of an old measuring device. Original was disassembled and modelled via Autodesk Inventor Professional 10. Whole assembly is consitsts of approximately 250 components. For photorealistic output I used 3ds Max.

A great deal of work went into this and it's a superb model. I can't understand why it hasn't received more tags than this.
