think about the functionality of your design. sinks at the styling stations are not needed, but dryers (drop down hooded type) would be very functional. By putting the stations in a row, it makes the salon seem like a hallway. A more modern take would be to group the stations in a way that adds some privacy for the client and more visual interest. Since the focus is on easthetics here, you want to use the most flattering and natural lighting possible, preferably not flourescent. Outlets built into the countertops would be nice also, so that the stylist does not have to constantly get under the station to plug things in. I don't mean to shred your design. I am an arch. student and a stylist, so I thought my insight might be helpful.
