School Design - Chapelizod, Dublin, Ireland.
“The City of Learning” - This school design resembles the city; it is a series of interconnecting streets, plazas and buildings rather than a singular mass, instilling a desire to contribute to society. The site is in a buffer zone between the busy town of Chapelizod and the tranquil Phoenix Park - I felt it appropriate therefore that the transition between town and parkland in the section would be eased with the use of materials which change from the urbane to natural.
